After watching the interview, I am deeply touched and would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and respect to all the staff of the Academy of Innovation (Confucius Hall).

Whenever I see my son, Cheuk Hong, receive an award, I feel gratified, but the first thing that comes to my mind is not his outstanding performance, but my deep gratitude to Mr. Chan Shu Chun. Had it not been for Mr. Chan's acceptance of Cheuk Hong into the school, I am afraid that he would not have been able to achieve what he has achieved today. I still remember clearly that when we arranged the interview for Cheuk Hong, it was Christmas, a public holiday, but Mr. Chan still met us in person, showing his dedication and responsibility to education. During the interview, he encouraged Cheuk Hong with his kind and sincere words, which inspired him to have a strong desire to join the Academy of Innovation (Confucius Hall). At that time, Cheuk Hong's Chinese language results were not satisfactory and it was a rare thing to have him accepted. Therefore, I often say that it was Mr. Chan who “took him in” and opened a door of hope for him.

However, the growth and progress of Cheuk Hong did not depend on the efforts of one person alone. Academy of Innovation (Confucius Hall) has a team of professional and dedicated teachers who create countless opportunities for students to develop their potential. The teachers have encouraged Cheuk Hong by arranging for him to participate in various competitions, both inside and outside the school, so that he can learn by doing and grow through challenges. As a result, he woke up at 5:00 a.m. every morning and stayed after school until 7:00 p.m. to prepare for the competitions without complaining. During this period of time, Ms. Liu accompanied and guided him for a long time and put in a lot of effort, and I am deeply grateful for her hard work.

Today, Cheuk Hong has made significant progress in both academics and character compared to his elementary school days. All these would not have been possible without the hard work and nurturing of the entire education team of Confucius Hall Academy. With the school's philosophy of “teaching all students without discrimination”, the Headmaster's visionary leadership, and the two Deputy Headmasters' diligence and practicality in promoting the development of the school, Academy of Innovation (Confucius Hall) reputation has been growing and it has become a highly reputable school in the hearts of many parents.

I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the Principal, Vice-Principals, all the Directors and Teachers. Your professionalism, passion and perseverance have profoundly changed the fate of a student and given hope to a family. Thanks to your teaching and companionship, Cheukyong has been able to move forward steadily on the right path.

Today is the birthday of the author's mentor, Mr. Chan Shu Chun, I wish Mr. Chan a happy birthday and good health! This year is the 20th year that I have known Mr. Chan, 20 years ago, I was enrolled in my alma mater, when I was at a low point in my life, I did not do well in my studies, I did not have confidence in doing things, until I met Mr. Chan, and under his care and education, I regained my confidence, and succeeded in getting admitted to the university, and 20 years later, I have started a family, and my mentor attended the wedding banquet of the author, which made me feel very happy and contented. Even the growing up video has a photo of the author and his mentor together, in which all three of them are present.

I really think that I made the right choice of Confucius Hall. On the first day I arrived at Confucius Hall, I was deeply attracted by the Confucian philosophy here, and was conquered by your sincerity and personal charm. Academic achievement is not the most important thing, but moral cultivation is the first priority. I have deeply experienced this in Confucius Hall, and I have also deeply felt this rare kindness and wisdom in you. I think it will be right for my child to follow an educator like you. My child is not well-behaved enough, but he is not bad. He has not yet reached the state of liking learning very much, and he has some minor bad habits in life. I guide and educate him at the same time, always looking forward to the opportunity for the sleeping lion to wake up. Maybe at some point he will need it, and then he will work hard. Now we are pushing him forward from behind, and when he takes the initiative to learn, then it will be a success. Parents in the world always have expectations for their children. I think the probability of this happening in Confucius Hall is higher than in any other school. Thank you Mr Chan for your boundless love. My child is not good enough, and I am sorry to bother you because of your words. If he is good enough, I would be willing to ask you for more advice. Every time after talking with you, I always feel enlightened. You are an educator with very positive views, and I respect you very much. Thank you for giving my child and our family a great learning opportunity. Thank you for allowing my child to grow up slowly despite not being good enough. Thank you very much!

Thank you Mr Chan for sharing. I agree with you! We also deeply identify with and sincerely trust the educational philosophy of Confucius Hall. Since the children started school until now, you have been protecting their growth in a subtle and silent way. Your deep understanding of the essence of education - "cultivating morality and educating people" is moving. Mr Chan treats every child as his own child and cultivates every child as a talent [Love] You told us that every child is like a seed with a different flowering period, some bloom in spring, and some need to wait until midsummer. It shows us that Confucius Hall always adheres to the belief of "teaching without distinction" to help children progress. Like this mother, I prefer to regard temporary imperfections as the entrance to educational opportunities. Through communication with you and the teachers at Confucius Hall, I feel that true education is never born out of perfection, but rather witnessing the progress of children in acceptance. I am really grateful to Mr Chan!

Mr. Chan likes to make jokes. Besides calling Confucius, whose first name is Qiu and last name is Zhongni, Johnny, he doesn't mind making jokes about the motto of the school.
The motto of #Academy of Innovation - Confucius Hall is "filial piety, fraternal duty, loyalty, faith, propriety, righteousness, integrity and shame", and there used to be eight chestnut trees on the campus named after these eight concepts.
Unfortunately, in about 2000, these eight trees died one after another, and the first one to die was "Integrity & Shame...".
"We are in deep trouble, we have no shame! Mr. Chan is smiling.
It's not the goose, it's Mr. Chan!
